And here's Dora Braman Delmege, my grandma and I suppose that's Grandpa Delmege but it sure doesn'took like him to me. Am I sure it's Dora?

This Robot was running around the restaurant. He managed the human traffic with no problem, swerving to avoid customers. Or maybe it was the other way around.
Rosemary wishes she had been at the get together. Below we were Christmas shopping. T'was a few years back.

And me t'was also a few years back.

Road to Recovery. Scenes on the way.

Dr. Sam S., my radiology oncologist at John Stoddard Cancer Center in Des Moines IA, He thought my case was pretty ho-hum routine. I might even feel that way after a month or so passes...

Doctor was too tall to get his legs included in the small room.
Finished on April 18th.Three weeks in a row, 5 sessions per week was a lot. Side effects were minimal and I was treated with gentle compassion and respect.
Tony, the radiation honcho, was on hand throughout and always with one or two assistants. After a while he seemed like family.

Ken 1229 days on 30 March 2025. And he drove me to and from my treatments. Without him I would have been unable to have them because my muscles weren't healed from the lumpectomy and I could not lay on the hard cold steel radiation table without swallowing a total of 4 pills the hour before treatment. He said I came out of the radiations "a little loopy". So it figures the doctors wouldn't allow me to drive with all those pills in my system.
Being the kind and thoughtful person he is, Ken pampered me by taking the back roads to John Stoddard even though the freeway would have been quicker. He knew how nervous I would get riding on the freeways and interstates. I am very grateful and fortunate. The views along 6th Ave in southern Saylorville were entertaining. See the covered bridge below.
Also there is the yard on a corner lot filled with white globe street lamps, statues of lions, pink palm trees and even a giraffe. It was difficult to get pictures - I really needed to be in a helicopter above.

Topping off the day there's a box on the step. Rosemary sends me a wagon load of snacks. She is so thoughtful.

A nice time to replace the recliner. The old one has retired to the front bedroom. And online shopping so convenient.

St. Patricks Day Music
Mary Margaret and a great Irish fiddler, Brad, played at Magee's for three great hours on Monday. It was a very lively spot and fun place to be. I enjoyed watching the younger crowd and will share a couple of the pictures. By the way Magee's owner is the man in a kilt. I truly enjoyed Mary Margaret and Brad's music. But was glad we'd left before 4pm as I hear next act was bagpipes. That would've been too loud for me. Picture left to right: Lori, Deirdre, Judy, Leon, Ken and me. Jo, a singer in the all girls band not pictured.

Ken's new record is 1208 days of exercising 7 days a week. That's three years and approximately 4 months on this Tuesday March 11, He had surgery which ruined his previous record of 4 years plus. His surgeon told him it would not be a good idea to get off the operating table and go jogging.
Picture taken on his 88th birthday, 2024. And I cheer him on.
